Wholemeal Pizza

Last week, a friend of mine invited me to grab a pizza. This inspired me.

However, this didn’t inspire me to go out and grab one of those greasy things that come in a box. Instead, it did encourage me to use my time at home this weekend to try out a healthy alternative and post the recipe up the blog.

This recipe is for anyone who loves pizza, but hates the guilt that comes with it. Recipe on the reverse.

Too Much Cardio?│Q & A

As you may know by now, I always make an effort when replying to your questions, whether it’s through Facebook, Twitter or email. So, it’s with great pleasure to announce that Blogybuilding.com has gone one step further and teamed up with WBFF PRO Fitness Model, Amer “The Hammer” Kamra, to answer one of our reader’s questions! If you remember, we interviewed Amer more than a month ago. If you missed it, please click here.

A few days ago, I received the following email:

“Hope the trainings going well, just a question about cardio really.

I’ve just started a 3 day split and am bulking, although finding the nutritional
side of things difficult with studies and work 7 days per week, so it’s kind of
inconsistent dirty bulking at the moment.

Question is, how much cardio should I be looking to partake in, and when shall I do
be doing it? Obviously the aim is to keep cardio to a minimum, especially when I’m
not consistently hitting 500 over maintenance every day, but I’m not sure how
literal to take the word ‘minimum’.

Appreciate the help bro [sic]”.

Thank you for your question. You can read our response after the cut.

The Beef Up Burger

It’s a shame that red meat has such a bad rap!

Beef, and by that I mean good quality grass fed organic beef, is not only great source of protein, but is also rich in muscle-building minerals such as iron, B vitamins and even creatine!

I don’t need to tell you that this recipe tastes great – it’s a burger! Thankfully, it requires minimal preparation and more importantly, contains little fat compared to other pre-made alternatives out there! Recipe after the cut.

SYTYCD Bethany Rose Harrison│Interview

Bethany Rose Harrison is a show-stopper.

I used to work with her a few years ago, so believe me when I tell you – this girl can dance.

You, however, may recognise her as being a semi-finalist on So You Think You Can Dance, a reality show which aired between March and June on BBC One. She describes herself as a contemporary-jazz dancer, which (don’t take my word for it) is a fusion of ballet, contemporary, lyrical and hip-hop dance styles – thanks Wikipedia!

Although this may sound biased, I assure you that Bethany is a down-to-earth girl, who is focused and more importantly, is extremely passionate about what she does.

I’m always looking for ways to broaden our content, and so it was only natural for me to feel excited (even though she’s a friend) when Bethany agreed to interview for Blogybuilding.com. Interview after the cut.

Think Different

What can we learn from Steve Jobs?

Like many of you this morning, I woke up to the news of Steve Jobs’ untimely death.

Without a doubt, Steve is one of the greatest pioneers of our time. What I admire about him most was his vision – he was way ahead of the curve, and that’s something that we can all learn from. More on the reverse.

Losing Weight│Q & A

We’re back for another question and answer session – I’m enjoying these!

Today’s topic of discussion? Losing weight. Last Saturday, I received an email from someone asking for weight loss advice. Without revealing his name, he wrote:

“I have issues in gaining weight. I’ve been stuck on 15 stones for a long time. I gained two stone within 1 year but it’s just not happening.”

Thank you for your question. You can read my response after the cut.
